Principles of Radiation Biology and Radiation Protection
This continuing education course provides medical imaging professionals with a clear, practical overview of radiation biology and radiation protection principles in diagnostic imaging. Learners will explore how x-rays interact with human tissue, the biological effects of radiation exposure, dose measurement concepts, and essential safety practices for protecting patients and healthcare workers. Emphasis is placed on risk awareness, ALARA principles, and safe imaging decision-making in everyday clinical practice. Accepted for CA CRT's, XT's, Supervisors and Operators and is specific to "radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy". Approved for Technical Category A for Florida Technologists. All other states accepted. Accepted by the NMTCB.
